Since the awful school shootings, I have seen more untruths, misconceptions and liberal philosophy than I can ever remember. Here are a few:
The Second Amendment was not instituted to cover the weapons of today. It was instituted to cover military weapons of the era. The framers knew exactly that they were making law and why they were doing it. The Federalist papers and other writings of the people who fought the Revolution show what they meant.
You do not need certain types of guns for hunting. The Second Amendment never had anything to do with hunting.
Ban/restrict/outlaw semiautomatic weapons. They were not around when the Second Amendment was written.
Let's look at the First Amendment and ban high-speed presses, the Internet, television and radio, as they were not around then, either.
