As another fiscal fight is finished and more loom in the coming months, it seems there is enough disgust toward Congress to go around. The obvious fix is heard on newscasts across the country: "We need genuine leadership!"
Our leadership deficit begins with ourselves. We need to take the steps to act as we want members of Congress to. Leaders must recognize how big the problem is and agree to start with the same facts.
We have to accept the consequences of a mixed government, which we elected. We need to put our country first, in our words and thoughts, if we ever want to see Congress do the same. We need to work together in our communities. At the national level, we need to champion bipartisan groups like No Labels instead of supporting partisan PACs.
We can face our all of issues as a nation. We need to muster up the leaders within us.
