Letter: Restrictions may be never ending

Has our governor always so strongly held a position on gun control and wanting to take away or suppress this right of the American people?

Why the push to rush through the Legislature a so-called "strong" gun control bill and then to become the "hero" to some for his actions and concerns? Why was this thinking and legislation not a part of his overall agenda? As it is in Washington, is our governor not allowing a good crisis go to waste?

And why are our legislative leaders advising companies and people how to run their businesses by asking them to stop selling certain items? Why stifle business? We start with restrictions on one item and, before long, many and all items are regulated by our government and the United States is no longer free.

I will be criticized by some for my comments. I do have the right to express my thoughts. At least, I believe I do, unless some legislation was passed in Washington in the dead of the night taking away this freedom.
