Like many New Yorkers, I am not feeling real safe with the passage of the NY SAFE gun bill.
Just look at how this was brought to us: Gov. Andrew Cuomo was the steamroller and Senate Republican leader Dean Skelos rolled over.
How are the citizens safer when every law-abiding citizen owning a gun will be marked through gun and bullet purchases? It is hard for me to believe we are safer when the state is now limiting our citizens' ability to defend themselves from a serious attack.
It is also hard for me to believe gun control rammed upon us in this manner is going to stop here. There are just too many examples in history of gun control-empowering rulers to overpower and hurt their people for me to feel safe about this law. Instead, I feel this sense of infringement upon my Second Amendment rights.
