Gov. Andrew Cuomo's comment in his State of the State address that "no one needs 10 bullets to kill a deer" suggests the governor either lacks understanding of the Second Amendment or else he presumes New York citizens lack understanding of its true intent.
The Second Amendment was not intended to protect an individual's right to hunt. Its intent is to protect the individual from a government's illegal search and seizure of personal property or from a Gestapo-like police presence that marches into your neighborhood to herd you away or terrorize you into ideological submission.
