How effective are New York's new gun laws really expected to be? It may sound as if putting restrictions and bans on the weapons would reduce the amount of related violence, but does the law stating marijuana use is illegal reduce the abuse of it?
Individuals who are interested in something are going to find a way to do it even if they must break the law. These semiautomatic rifles have already reached the hands of people who were intending to cause harm. Just because a law has been written against the possession of that type of weapon doesn't mean those who are already willing and capable of obtaining and using it will not find a way to do so.
