If hypocrisy was a crime, then most assuredly Assemblyman Steve Katz would be indicted and removed from office. He is a member of the Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Committee who voted against legalizing medical marijuana yet was found by a state trooper to have some in his possession.
After his arrest on possession of marijuana charges became known, Katz's explanation isn't an apology but rather something that sounds like a campaign speech. My hope is that readers have the memory of elephants when the next election comes around.
