As a New Yorker who voted for him and as a husband, father and grandfather, I urge Gov. Andrew Cuomo to step up and put an end to the corruption in Albany for all hardworking parents and families across New York.
For years we have had investigations and studies by commissions, committees and panels on this issue, and the results have always been the same: It continues, and it continues at our expense.
The elected representatives in Albany must be held to the same standards as the rest us. Governor Cuomo has the power to make it clear the corruption must and will stop and that those involved must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
We, as individuals, are helpless victims if Governor Cuomo and his administration do not take firm action to protect our laws, our state and our citizens from being used and abused by crooked politicians.
We will support his efforts to bring this mess under control, but he is the one who needs to take action.
