I thank you for "Fighting fraud with a new form," April 19, regarding legislators' reimbursements. They received an increase not too long ago in their per diems. They should carpool and save the taxpayers' money.
More importantly, as this article reveals, they should be required to submit receipts if they want to be reimbursed. For those traveling from New York City and Buffalo, they are reimbursed well over $100 a day each day they drive their personal car. Is there any reason any legislator would not be willing to submit receipts?
