I have never felt so ashamed of my Congress. How could 46 senators vote against a bipartisan expanded background check bill?
he vote of these senators was cowardly and ignored the will of the American people. These legislators voted in favor of special interests instead of the best interests of all of us. Why?
Expanded background checks are at the minimum that this country should pass to protect us and our communities. Ideally, we would also pass a ban on high-capacity magazines and assault weapons and strengthen laws against trafficking in guns.
Women will go to the polls at the next elections to change the Congress, one vote at a time.
