The incumbents of both parties are opposed to the following reforms:
If voters deem an incumbent is not doing a good job, they can demand a recall.
If convicted of a felony or felonies pertaining to their duties, they lose retirement and health benefits.
All money for re-election must come from state-provided funds; thereby, ending the pay-for-play system currently being followed by too many elected officials.
Term limits are in the hands of the voters. None of the above will be enacted unless voters demand it and vote for people who will enact these smart changes.
