Letter: Lawmakers fail to do their duties

We are Republicans but not of this Republican Party. We are Democrats but not of this Democratic Party. We are believers in the dreams, aspirations and intentions as put forth by our Founding Fathers in the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and Constitution.

We recognize that written in our formation is the separation of church and state, but nowhere is it found that there is a separation of God and state. We also know there is a separation between the branches of government, but there is never to be a separation of the people by any part of our government. We have recognized the formation of a federal government was necessary for the continued existence of this nation, but not the federal government that has evolved since.

We have also come to the realization the gap between the United States of America and the United Peoples of America is ever-widening. The time is rapidly approaching when "We the People" will dissolve "You the Government," and this nation will cease to exist in its current form. This is the fate that awaits us if the present course is not redirected to represent the people.
