Let all of the Women's Equality Act come to the floor for a vote. Voters deserve to know where their representatives stand on such an important issue. Our state senators should not hide behind procedures and refuse to show how they would vote on women's equality.
All 10 parts of the Women's Equality Act are critical to support women and families throughout our state. The act provides for equal pay for equal work, protections against sexual harassment, protections for victims of domestic violence and human trafficking, an end to pregnancy discrimination and protections for a woman's reproductive health decisions. Each part gives women the ability to control their own lives and build a better life for themselves and their families.
Women in New York deserve to be free from harassment and discrimination.
