I found it quite disturbing to see so many New York women schmoozing with Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver to celebrate the Assembly's support of the Women's Equality Act.
Mr. Silver supported former Assemblyman Vito Lopez — and others like him. How can New York women support him?
They, along with the great ethicist Gov. Andrew Cuomo, should be calling for Mr. Silver's dismissal from public service, not joining Mr. Silver in any sort of celebration for women receiving what they have rightfully deserved for many, many years.
There are those who would say that, over the years, women have been their own greatest enemy. The schmoozing with Mr. Silver would suggest that's true.
