Letter: Why a revolution is attractive idea

It has been a year since my partner and I purchased land in upstate New York, and we are in the planning stage of building while living in my home in Vermont.

Reading and listening to news reports about the crooked, unscrupulous and (it would seem) untouchable state workers and representatives living high on the taxpayer dime has us outraged. We are thinking of putting our land up for sale and staying in Vermont.

This would be a shame as this is land belonging to his family for generations, but who wants to work as hard as we do, going without vacations and making countless sacrifices to pay our way, just to have our tax money (we both work and earn in New York) go for those sneaky louses living the high life on our backs?

What is the New York government going to do about this? What can we do as the general public? Contact our legislators? Ha; that would go far.

I so understand the rumblings of an uprising, a revolution by the working class, if only we could.
