There is a little lake I've enjoyed over the years called Snyder's Lake in North Greenbush. The fee for nonresidents has been $5 per car. Once the summer camps leave at 2:30 every day, the place is virtually empty.
Now the fee for nonresidents has been raised to $10 per person. The pond has suddenly become exclusive. How neighborly.
Perhaps residents of North Greenbush should be charged $10 per person for everything they currently enjoy for free in Albany: Fourth of July fireworks, the Tulip Festival, Alive at Five, the State Museum, etc. How neighborly of us.
