Failing infrastructure, new technologies, increasing populations, for all these reasons, we need STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in our schools from the kindergarten to 12th grade.
Congressman Paul Tonko's bill, Educating Tomorrow's Engineer's Act, establishes the structure to provide our own "Made In U.S.A." talent to identify and solve our country's engineering concerns.
By supporting this endeavor to develop tomorrow's engineers, there will be a trickle-down effect to supporting jobs that will help build and improve our failing infrastructures — not unlike the 1920s-1930s Conservation Corps that mobilized talent to make our country more beautiful and functioning.
Enough of patch-up and touch-up, we need new, better infrastructures and energy grids that use current technologies and reflect our true engineering talents.
Right now, there is a disconnect between what we produce in our schools and what we need in our great country.
Congressman Tonko's bill will help reconnect our educated, talented citizens to make our country more sustainable.
If you agree, voice your support of this bill.
