It occurred to me recently as I was pumping $4-a-gallon gas into my vehicle that something is very wrong.
Just a year ago, a barrel of oil was selling for $100. I just heard recently the price of a barrel of oil in the last two weeks was near $92, yet gasoline prices are still $4 a gallon. The relationship between barrel price and gallon price just seems out of whack.
Then I realized this disconnect between barrel and gallon price might just have something to do with the upcoming election. The oil companies want us to think of President Barack Obama every time we pump this $4 a gallon gas. President Barack Obama does not control the price of gas; the oil companies do. You soon realize the oil companies want to see Mitt Romney in the White House.
In other words, the oil companies set the price high, and people will vote for Romney. If you think gas prices will drop in a Romney White House, think again.
The oil companies will want to be paid back for getting Romney elected. Everything in this country is tied to the price of oil, and it will just get worse for all of us if the greedy oil companies get their way.
The next time you are pumping $4-a-gallon gas, don't blame Obama. Ask yourself why the oil companies want a Romney White House and blame the oil companies for the price of gas.
