The behavior of the teenagers in Colonie on Halloween night is unconscionable, and the actions of the so-called parental figures are even worse ("Neighborhood feels haunted," Nov. 2).
How convenient that these parents drop off their children in other neighborhoods, so that they don't soil their own properties. The absence of any shame, and the justification some parents used — that "it was all done in fun" — boggles the mind.
I hope the Colonie police proactively create a plan for next year, and includes the Albany County Sheriff's Department and State Police in the response.
Anything less gives the teens, and their parents, license to commit the same, or even worse.
