The issue of mandatory taxing of the rich need not be problematic.
In our current and friendly aura of conciliation and compromise, we can agree not to raise taxes on the opulent. In lieu, all that is asked is that each year the wealthy donate to the federal Treasury the same amount of money they spent on the last election.
This proposal yields no new taxes on the wealthy and a balanced federal budget.
