Letter: Despite incident, residents safe

In response to the reports that a maintenance employee had inappropriate contact with a resident at the Loudonville Home for Adults, I would like to make some comments as a family member of two residents.

My mother-in-law lived there for seven years until she passed. Now my mother has been there for the last three years. The quality of care is of the highest standard and it's given lovingly. Each staff member personally knows my mother and is always looking out for her well-being. My mother is happy and content in this environment and regards it as her home.

During my frequent visits, regardless of the time or day, I have observed residents were always treated with the upmost respect and dignity.

When the incident occurred, Michael Levine, the owner and operator of Loudonville Home for Adults, acted immediately and has taken all measures to ward against the possibility of something like this ever happening again.

Despite the unfortunate incident, it does not change my mind about how I feel about this facility. I believe my mother is living in the best possible place, which is comfortable, safe and secure.
