Jacob Tyler Roberts, Andrew Engeldinger, Wade Michael Page, Ian Stawicki, Jake England, Alvin Watts, One L. Goh, Thomas "T.J." Lane.

Do you recognize these names? Probably not, but they are only some of the individuals who committed mass murders in the United States using firearms during 2012. These individuals were responsible for 30 deaths plus three of them committed suicide.

In addition to these less-familiar atrocities, 12 more individuals were killed by James Holmes in Aurora, Colo., and 27 more by Adam Lanza in Newtown, Conn., who then killed himself. You probably do remember Holmes and Lanza.

The key pieces of information are: All used firearms, all the victims were killed in the past year and the names of most of these killers are unfamiliar because their barbarism itself has become so familiar in this country that their names have been eclipsed in our memories.
