Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the Legislature should ban 18-hole golf courses.
The governor should issue a "message of necessity" so the Legislature can avoid a pesky public comment period and deliver the legislation in the middle of the night without delay. After all, only a few hysterical golfers would be likely to comment.
No legitimate reason exists why anyone needs more than nine holes to play golf. If more is desired, golfers may simply go around the same holes multiple times.
It is an indisputable fact golf courses introduce hazardous chemicals into the environment including insecticides, fungicides and fertilizer.
