I no longer turn to the comics pages for a good laugh. The Letters to the Editor section is where I find the real chuckles. It seems the favorite argument of the pro-guns people is that they need their guns in the event they join an insurrection against the government. They need assault weapons and 30-bullet clips to fight the U.S. Army. Every time I imagine this fantasy, I laugh out loud. They refuse to admit that owning a gun gives them a sense of power, and thus they feel better about themselves. On second thought, this really isn't funny. It's sad.
