Steve Salton is federally and state-licensed to exhibit endangered animals and has done so without incident from 2007 to present ("Man's home is castle, haven for big cats," Feb. 7).
People from all over the state responded positively to Mr. Salton's dedication to preserve this treasure. I believe the truth of the matter is that the force most involved to discredit and remove Mr. Salton's animals comes from the bad business decision of the builders.
Did they ever consider the neighborhood when they decided to build next to a major highway, with a mobile home on the opposite side of the road, in economically distressed Fulton County, in the highest-taxed state in the country?
If I wanted to run with the big dogs, I would have built these high-end homes on one of the area lakes or close to Saratoga Race Course.
Steve Salton is, and has been, a class act. Others ought to take a chapter out of his playbook.
