President Barack Obama has said the sequester would lead to $85 billion in cuts that could hurt the people and the economy.
Yet, the federal government is expected to pay $168 billion in interest alone on its debt this year. The government is good at mismanaging our money; one can be sure a $16 trillion debt is not the will of the people. They are so obsessed with spending one can see why they are reluctant to create a budget that would help keep spending in check.
It is outrageous the politicians value power more than our money; and the debt continues to grow. Both sides of the aisle play in the Washington world, doing only what is best for their political parties. They continue to create a welfare nation that is becoming unsustainable.
Meanwhile, our government — due to this party loyalty — is not capable of fixing the mess. There are no debates, no compromises, no agreeable solutions. Without any budgets, they spend what they want without remorse.
This mess comes from these 545 people.
