I take exception to your editorial "Mr. Cuomo snubs his allies," April 28.
The gist of your editorial position is that Gov. Andrew Cuomo should put his Women's Equality Agenda out in the public domain for all to see.
I disagree, at least for now. As a card-carrying supporter of Planned Parenthood, I applaud Cuomo's women's equality initiative, including language protecting the right to choice in New York should the Supreme Court overturn Roe vs. Wade.
I don't feel snubbed. We should all know that Cuomo is working behind the scenes, tweaking bill language and compromising to get moderate Republican votes in the Senate.
I'm willing to be patient. I want the bill that's made public a bill that can pass, that can become law. When that day comes, hopefully before the end of the session, we women's equality allies can rally our legislators to vote for passage.
