"Buckle up for the outcome of this one," I said to myself immediately after reading The Associated Press' article "Armed in the hallways," July 31.
The Clarksville, Ark., school district seems to be forming a posse of more than 20 teachers, administrators and "other school employees" armed with handguns to be ready to "protect" students when school opens this year. The National Rifle Association should be proud.
I sure hope the proposed 53 hours of concealed handgun training for this staff is adequate and includes psychological screening for the likes of George Zimmerman.
