Today, via talk radio, I discovered the reason why the 99 percent of GOP voters will still vote for the Republican Party even though they will be taxed just as heavily as the 99 percent of the Democrat voters should the GOP win the White House this November.
It seems these GOP voters have this delusion that they just may become millionaires themselves and that, once they are millionaires, the Republicans will protect them from heavy taxation in the same way the Republicans currently protect the millionaires.
I hate to burst their bubble, but only 1 percent of them, statistically, will reach the millionaires' circle. The remaining 99 percent will lose many current benefits and be heavily taxed should the GOP win. The plans already are being made. The wealthy will be taxed less than they are today, and the loss of revenue will be made up by greater taxes on the already strapped middle class.
This thinking makes no sense.
