The past few days have been cluttered with stories about the Thruway Authority and the possibility of a toll hike for truckers.
The problem I have with these stories is the abundance of quotes from Assemblyman Jim Tedisco, R-Glenville, including the comment in which he states the "authority got caught with its hand in the cookie jar" (Associated Press, Nov. 9).
Once again, we are hearing our longtime assemblyman talking about issues, complaining about a problem in the system. But, I have to ask, what is he doing about it?
This is one of the many reasons why I ran against Mr. Tedisco; I wanted to find solutions to problems, not just complain about them to anyone who would listen.
