As abhorrent as this may sound, the photos of the carnage at Newtown, Conn., should be published for all to see. The devastating destructive power of assault weapons is beyond the comprehension of anyone who has not been to war.
If we are to stop the killing of innocents, we shouldn't hide the truth behind images of beautiful children or Teddy bears in order to shield the public from the horror that is the reality of these weapons. If the images of these beautiful children and their teachers, slaughtered like animals, doesn't prompt something to be done about banning these weapons, then God help us all.
